JOB TITLE: Grant and Development Manager

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:

The mission of Hospitality House Food Pantry is to minimize deprivation in our community by providing food and assistance to those in need, while maintaining the utmost respect for the dignity of the individual. Hospitality House serves clients that are at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines providing critical support to individuals and families facing food insecurity, helping to alleviate hunger, reducing financial stress, and building community.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Grants and Development Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the fund development objectives and mission of the organization. This individual is responsible for managing both grant acquisition and overall development efforts. Reporting directly to, and working closely with the Executive Director, this position involves cultivating revenue-focused movements by inspiring new and current donors while also overseeing the entire life cycle of the grant development process. In addition to managing grant acquisition and compliance, the Grants and Development Manager will oversee development functions, cultivate donor relationships, manage events, and maintain social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grants:

  • Research, write, and apply for new grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on existing grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.
  • Track grant requirements and deadlines to ensure compliance.

CRM/Keela Management:

  • Manage donation processes, including recording and acknowledging donations in the Keela platform.
  • Curate donor contacts, interactions, communications, and transactions with Hospitality House.
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of donations in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Coordinate communications related to fundraising efforts through Keela.

Link2Feed/Pantry Management Software:

  • Generate and analyze reports using Link2Feed software for program evaluation, granting writing and reporting.

Social Media:

  • Oversee and manage the organization's social media.
  • Create and schedule regular content postings.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, comments, and questions.

Events:

  • Provide support in planning, developing, and hosting Hospitality House events, ensuring smooth coordination and implementation.
  • Organize and maintain event documents, promotional materials, and contracts.

License Applications:

  • Ensure post-event licensing requirements are fulfilled to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Initiate and complete applications for raffle, auction, and special event permits.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to Hospitality House and the organizations mission
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, non-profit management, public-relations,

or another related field is preferred

  • 2-3 years of fundraising experience is preferred
  • 2-3 years of grant writing is preferred
  • Ability to write in a compelling, clear, concise manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing skills
  • Excellent computer software/data management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
