How do I apply for assistance?

You can come in during our pantry hours and fill out an application. You do not need an appointment. You will need to bring photo ID for every adult in the home, a social security card or birth certificate for every adult and child, proof of all income including child support, bridge card, unemployment, etc. and all monthly bills (rent, gas, electric, phone, car insurance, etc.). You will receive food on your fist visit. Please come at least one hour before we close. Bring your own grocery bags if possible.

Does Hospitality House help with anything other than food?

We offer 3 other programs that our clients can sign up for throughout the year. We help client children K-12 with fully packed backpacks right before school starts in the fall. We assist with Christmas gifts for children 0-18 in early December.  We also provide a frozen turkey with all the fixings to make a Thanksgiving dinner at home for our families.

Does Hospitality House provide financial assistance?

We do not provide rent, gasoline, or utility assistance at this time.

Is my visit to Hospitality House shared with any public agencies?

No. Your name is kept on file at Hospitality House, but is never shared.

How often can I get food from the pantry?

Two times per month.

How much food do I get?

Clients select food according to their individual needs, within guidelines based on the size of their family. (For example, a household with four people may take four cans of soup on each visit, but clients may choose which types of soup they would like.) Therefore, the amount of food provided varies.

Do I get to pick the foods myself?

Yes, within the family size guidelines provided.

Does Hospitality House provide transportation?

Sorry, we do not provide transportation.
